What the monitor recorded
85.0% not flagged by the device. The export flags 11,111 of 74,040 passages. “Flagged” refers to its #violators field; it is not a verified count above 35 mph.
A higher device-flagged share at night. From 10 PM to 6 AM, 51.9% were flagged by device, compared with 10.6% during the day.
Counts and rates tell different parts of the story. Daytime had more device-flagged passages in total: 6,998, compared with 4,113 at night.
Correction to earlier materials: the export’s #violators field was previously labeled “above 35 mph.” That interpretation is not verified. Twenty-six intervals contain flags despite a peak at or below 35 mph. This report preserves the original counts as device flags; it does not infer speeding or compliance from them.
01 / Time of day
Both bars use the same 0–100% scale. The nighttime percentage describes a smaller traffic stream.
10.6% flagged by device
6,998 flagged by device / 66,120 recorded passages
Mean recorded speed: 22.3 mph
51.9% flagged by device
4,113 flagged by device / 7,920 recorded passages
Mean recorded speed: 30.7 mph
Two aligned charts separate traffic volume from the share flagged by device.
Shaded hours: 10 PM–6 AM. Hourly volume is the average across all 25 monitored dates, including the two partial days.
02 / Daily & weekly patterns
Compare complete days with care: March 31 and April 24 contain partial-day recordings.
Dark bars: not flagged by device. Orange bars: flagged by device. Asterisks mark partial days.
Weekday device-flagged share: 14.1%. Weekend share: 18.1%.
Each weekday appears three or four times. Tuesday and Friday include a partial day. This is a description of this reporting period.
03 / Every hour, every day
Each cell represents one hour. Select a cell for its passage count, device-flagged count, mean and peak.
Gray cells have no recorded passages. A high percentage may describe a small count; check the selected cell’s denominator. Times follow the device export.
04 / Recorded speeds
Mean recorded speed
Sum of the export’s per-passage average speeds divided by recorded passages. It does not show the full spread of speeds or establish speed-limit compliance.
Highest recorded peak
April 24, 06:00–06:30. The interval contained 75 passages, including 25 device flags. A recorded maximum is not a typical-speed estimate.
Among 1,122 thirty-minute intervals containing recorded passages.
These are interval counts, not counts of vehicles at each speed. Thresholds overlap: an interval with a 60+ mph peak also appears in the 45+, 50+ and 55+ groups. Bars use a common 0–100% scale.
05 / Thirty-minute detail
Times are interval starts. “Flagged” is a passage count. Rate rankings include only intervals with at least 30 recorded passages.
All dates are in 2026. Peak is the interval maximum.

07 / Source & method
The 26 inconsistent intervals contain 47 flags. For example, March 31 at 14:30 records 16 passages, 1 flag and a 34 mph peak. No flags were deleted or reassigned. Download the interval audit.
There is no before-and-after comparison or control location. This dataset cannot establish that the sign reduced speeding or explain why speeds differ. It does not measure crashes, near misses or congestion, and does not determine overall road safety. Individual speed readings have not been independently validated by this report.
